this contract included a new long red grade trail, 2 new black grade trails and upgrading and rebuilding 2 blue trails and a shared use blue climbing trail. the red trail was built through some sensitive habitats on some sections so we used minimal dig techniques and imported surfacing material when needed. the style of this 2 kilometre trail was a blend of flow style features and fast tech with a nice mix of larger berms and jumps and simple singletrack. building the black trails presented some unique challenges with very steep terrain which required highly experienced excavator operation and utilizing rock to prevent excessive errosion. the trails had a wide variety of styles and features from tight twisty woodland sections to steep technical rock gullies and large jumps and berms. the blue trails were simple flowy single track. total length was approximately 5.5 kilometres
